If success were defined by the amount of “new” knowledge learned, as a result of experience, instead of the attainment of a specific goal, then failure would stand head and shoulders above the “old” definition of success. One could truly say then, that failure was the new success, and that would give new meaning to the old saying “fail your way to success.” Society, being what it is, values the quickest most direct path to any goal, and as a result, we see many straight mufti lane highways built to replace those slower, meandering scenic country roads.
